OUR STORY

Danish design. Italian attitude.

Roccamore shoes are designed by Danish designer and founder of roccamore, Frederikke Antonie Schmidt. After graduating from the prestigious design school, Polimoda, Frederikke worked for several luxury brands before returning to Copenhagen where she developed her unique sole and started her own brand of comfortable high heels.

Roccamore's sole has been validated by scientific research at Hvidovre Hospital.

"The orthopedic stilettos are built with support in the arch and a small cushion that presses up under the forefoot, creating a larger contact area under the entire foot. In this way, you distribute your weight and relieve pressure on the forefoot, among other things."
The study was conducted by PhD and specialist in orthopedic surgery at Hvidovre Hospital Jeannette Østergaard Penny.

THE NAME

Roccamore comes from the Italian words roccaforte (fortress) and amore (love). And that's the feeling you get when you put on a pair of our comfortable high heels. All our shoes are a fortress of love that, unlike many regular heels, wrap your foot in comfort so you can walk in them for hours without getting sore feet.

Roccamore's mission is to inspire women to stand strong and take their place in the world. The best way to do that is in heels, which is why we make beautiful, comfortable heels that make you feel powerful.

WHY WE ARE HERE

Our mission is to support women to be who they are. Many brands will try to convince you that you just need to change one more thing and you'll be perfect.

We believe that you have always been perfect and that your strength lies in standing up for who you are, we also believe that it's easier to be confident in heels and we've made them as comfortable as possible so you can stand strong every single day.

A SHOWDOWN WITH THE FASHION INDUSTRY

Roccamore is based on transparency and respect and we do not work with sales or discounts. All our shoes are produced in limited numbers, and some models come in limited editions where only very few pairs are produced.

We are a diverse team of people with many nationalities and experience from different professional backgrounds. What brings us together is our belief that we can set a better example for our industry, from the beginning we have been against overproduction and waste and instead worked to make our processes as respectful as possible.

We try to avoid material waste and use as much of the skin as possible. One result of this is our keychain collection, which is created from the last remnants of leather. See all our keychains here.

WE CELEBRATE WOMEN

Every woman deserves to have a shoe named after her, so we name all shoes after our beautiful customers and strong women around us.

We are inspired by women with special stories who dare to stand up for who they are without apologizing - we call them rebels. By telling their stories, we hope to inspire more women to be strong in their own way.

ALWAYS HANDMADE

All our designs are based on our customers' wishes and feedback. Once the design is finalized, it's sent to our factory in Italy or Portugal.
